This book is not a comprehensive treatment of hypnotic language patterns. There are many more patterns and structures used in conversational hypnosis than are covered in this book. But as Rintu states early on the main emphasis is to give you quick usable tools that you can fit to any situation or context.

Rintu has specialised in delivering NLP Persuasion Skills training for business and personal use for people from many different walks of life. He has been training for over twelve years but has specialised in NLP Persuasion Skills training for the last nine years.

It is quick, easy and fun to learn from thins book because of the clear and concise way it is laid out. My value in the book came from being able to use some patterns within minutes of reading a chapter. The structure means as you go through the book you learn more complex and powerful patterns.

The Language Patterns are clearly laid out with lots of applications, illustrations and examples. The Persuasion Skills Black Book is takes a practical and pragmatic view of the subject guiding you from simple to complex and powerful patterns.

I quickly started using patterns although I had some hesitation at the start. I had the thought that these patterns would sound strange. But I took the advice from the book and practice saying these patterns out loud on my own first for a few minutes before trying them on other people. When I did I was really surprised at the results. Since then I have noticed I am using patterns without thinking about it and am easily integrating the more powerful ideas in the book.

According to Rintu there is an upsurge of interest in hypnotic persuasion techniques and this has been followed with a wealth of confusing and complex books on the subject. Having looked at many of the websites and books that are available I have to agree with him.

One thing that would make the book even better would be if Rintu had given more examples of using hypnotic persuasion patterns in written form. That said he has one very comprehensive example and sites different places where you can go to see more.

This book will not give you complex theory or in depth analysis of hypnotic patterns or word and why they work. What this book will give you is usable and specific patterns that you can start using immediately.

There are many different types of people that would benefit from this book. People like managers, sale staff, parents, trainers and teachers. In any situation where persuasions skills would be useful this book has a place.

There would be a definite advantage in bringing out a companion volume. It is the illustrations, examples and applications that make this book work. If Rintu were to seize the opportunity to write this companion book I think it would be a great addition.
